How to Search a Neighborhood
Start by clicking Quick Search on the dark blue bar. Click on Use Advanced Areas to open a map screen. Follow the directions to create your new search area. When you have adjusted the box so it fits over the area you want to search, don’t forget to click Update Search Area just below the map.
You’ll see Map Section: and map coordinates of the area you chose in the white box. (You can create up to 25 different map selections.)
To see homes available and recently sold in that area, highlight the Map Selection: ... you want and then click Use Advanced Area at the bottom of the screen. The next screen you see will be the Quick Search screen.
Your Map Selection should be displayed in a box at the top of the Quick Search page. Now you can specify the type of home you want to search, how many bedrooms and baths, etc. The Status field on the left side of the page lets you choose whether you only want to see homes for sale, or if you also want to see homes that recently sold – great to checking actual sales prices in the area. When you finish setting your criteria, click Search to see the listings “pinned” on the map.
